Cal, 44, Percussion revolver produced from 1863-1865 with a total quantity of 32000. US Martially inspected. Blue finish with 8 inch barrel and smooth walnut grips. A very robust revolver and most example are very hard used when encountered. CONDITION, Very fine with 50% blue finish remaining on barrel while frame retains 25% blue finish with balance turning patina with age and consistent wear. the one piece walnut grips are very fine with strong Martial inspections found on both sides. Action operates properly and smoothly. Bore is very good with sharp rifling. A fine attractive example of one of the lesser common US Civil War issued sidearms. TDW
