Japanese police sword with 22" very slightly curved blade, locking mechanism, fishskin handle with braided brass wire. Metal scabbard with single hanger ring. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with several dings to edge of blade, particularly towards tip. Some light oxidation to blade. Brass has acquired a pleasing dark patina. Fishskin grip with one major 3/4" x 1/4" area of chipping exposing wood. Scabbard a deep even brown with what appears to be traces of white paint. EW
