Lot consists of (A) Recent production Marlin 336 SS mounted with a Nikon Buckmasters scope in one piece base and rings mount. Pressed checkering over a walnut stock, stainless hammer extension and cross bolt safety. Front sight has a blued hood. Gun is also fitted with stainless sling swivels. CONDITION: Shows evidence of light field use. Bore is lightly fouled and stock has a few light handling marks. Mechanically fine. (B) Model 1895 saddle ring carbine manufactured 1922, features round barrel, pinned post front sight, military ladder rear sight, blue finish, forend has been shortened and handguard stained, carbine walnut buttstock, saddle ring and stud. CONDITION: Exposed barrel retains 60% original factory blue with brown patina blending through. Bolt retains little of the bright high polish factory blue. Traces of blue on box magazine, balance flaked to brown patina. Frame is gunmetal grey mixed with brown patina and some patchy freckling. Saddle ring may be a replacement and is worn bright. Hand guard has a non original red patina. Forend and barrel band is a replacement. Buttstock is excellent as sanded and refinished. Fine action with dark bore. JTH
