Lot consists of: (A) Eli Whitney conversion of the 1816 style US flintlock musket. U.S. with E. Whitney marked lock with rear marked New Haven and dated 1841. Brass touch hole plug with large percussion hammer. Smoothbore barrel with three bands and "US" and "P" in circle proofs. Walnut musket style stock with iron furniture and "US" mark on butt. Original steel ramrod. CONDITION: Uncleaned original condition with an overall dark patina. Good mechanics with replaced nipple. Wood has handling marks with no visible repairs. (B) British Pattern 1853 style Enfield two band smoothbore musket with Crown over V.R. and marked 1862 over Enfield marked percussion lock. Smoothbore musket style barrel with unknown markings at rear of barrel (possible import markings). Walnut wood stock with brass furniture. Original style ramrod. CONDITION: Overall dark patina with metal developing some light pitting. Mechanically solid and functions.Wood has dark finish with usage marks. DLM
