Buck and ball smoothbore rifle built in the typical Lehigh area style with "egg" shaped wrist, Lehigh brass buttplate, "pinched" trigger guard and Lehigh style stock profile. Rifle has octagon to round barrel with "Tryon Phila" marked flint lock with no sideplate. "Schimmel" style construction with no entry pipe and one ramrod pipe. Plain curly maple stock with cheekpiece. Hardwood ramrod with threaded tip. CONDITION: Overall good with added finish on barrel. Wood has added finish with small slivers along the forestock. Small crack through top lock screw and small crack half way out the forestock. No major restoration visible and gun is mechanically sound. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
