Springfield Trapdoor Model 1878 with breech block marked as such. Lock marked " U.S. Springfield" with Eagle. Blued barrel with "VP" and Eagle marks. Buffington rear sight with fixed front sight. Original steel cleaning rod. "U.S" marked blued buttplate. Walnut military style stock with 1886 date and SWP inspector mark. Good visible "P" in circle proof. CONDITION: Overall good condition with sharp markings and 80% original military finish remaining. Good mechanics with good shootable bore. DLM
