Early production Springfield 1922M2 Training Rifle with period correct BOYT sling. Low 4 digit serial number with correct, Springfield Armory 3-33 barrel date. Bolt is correctly marked M2 and is not electro penciled, meaning this rifle most likely missed arsenal refinishing. U.S. P mark on the pistol grip, as well as a "SA" on the left side, indicating Springfield production. This rifle also has a unique rack number "1" on the bottom of the pistol grip. Correct Lyman sights accompany this rifle. CONDITION: Overall very good with light handling marks. Metal retains most of its original finish with light wear on the edges. Stock is very good with minor handling marks and dings. Bore is solid with a fair amount of rifling left. Magazine is original and is in very good condition. Sling is very good. A very solid rifle with a low serial number, making an excellent addition to any U.S. Collection. JA
