Manufactured 1926. Slide numbered to frame under firing pin retaining plate. Right side of slide with "COLT // AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45 // (Rampant Colt)". Left side with two line address and patent information, last date is August 19th, 1913. Half moon front sight, beveled U notch rear sight. Colt National Match barrel with "MB" proof in circle. "S" inspection mark on top of frame. Long smooth trigger, "47" "1" and "VP" proofs on trigger guard. Checkered spurred hammer, safety, magazine release, and slide release. Knurled arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Fully checkered walnut grips. Two tone magazine with pinned base. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining the vast majority of the Colt blue finish, with a few minor marks, most notable on left side of slide just in front of address block. Some silvering to reciprocating parts. Action operates correctly, bore is excellent, bright and strong, with just a bit of frosting at the edges of the grooves. An extremely attractive pre-World War II Colt. EW
