G subinspection under firing pin retaining plate and on top of frame. Serrated slope front sight, square notch rear with P proof on top. High Standard barrel with "HS" on right side of lug, "P" on left. Attractive slide temper line. Keyes grips without reinforcing rings, right grip has a roughly executed etching of what appears to be an hourglass on interior. Short checkered trigger, spurless checkered hammer, arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered slide release, left side only safety, and magazine release. Two tone pinned base magazine. Typical FJA and P proofs on frame. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the large majority of its original parkerized finish with silvering on reciprocating areas and some high edges. Typical scratches under the slide release from reassembly. Other scattered marks from handling and operation. Action works appropriately, bore is very good with sharp strong rifling and consistent pitting in the grooves. A very good example of a mid-War Remington Rand. EW
