1880 vintage Model 1873 Deluxe Rifle. 24" full octagon barrel. Full length magazine tube. Chambered in .38-40 caliber. Shotgun style butt with smooth steel buttplate. Full figured flame grain deluxe wood and forearm with 'H' style checkering. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, forearm cap and hammer. Set trigger. Lyman ivory bead front sight. Standard rear barrel sight. Unique vintage, mid-range elevator sight that is dovetailed into the top tang. CONDITION: Excellent plus with 95-97% bright original blue on barrel and magazine tube. 85+% dark heavy original case color on the frame and hammer. Lever and forearm cap retain 75-80% original case color. Bore is very fine with some abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Wood is excellent plus retaining 97-98% original finish showing light wear. Overall a most desirable high condition case colored deluxe rifle. -MKS-
