Second generation Colt single action serial number 1267-SA, built in 1956. 5 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .38 Special. Blue with case hardened frame and polished hammer. Fitted with aftermarket two piece pearl grips. According to Colt archival letter that accompanies the revolver, it shipped to Tenk Hardware Company in Quincy Illinois on February 13, 1956. First year for second generation production. CONDITION: Excellent with 96-97% original blue on the barrel and ejector housing. 95% original blue on barrel with drag line. 70-75% mottled original case color on frame. Some freckling on the hammer. Approximately 50% original blue on backstrap and triggerguard. Front sight has been modified with an ivory bead. Bore is excellent and bright. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
