1870 vintage Model 1866 Rifle. 24" full octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Brass frame, rifle style crescent buttplate, and forearm cap. Straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Special ordered fixed rear barrel sight and "Rocky Mountain" German silver blade front sight. Sling swivels. CONDITION: Fine overall. Traces of original blue on barrel an magazine tube, mostly a brown patina overall. Hammer and lever are a brown patina. Brass is a light mustard patina with scattered dings and scratches. Wood has added finish showing wear with scattered dents and scratches. Right front of forearm is missing a 1 - 1/2" x 1/4" sliver of wood. -MKS-
