1884 vintage Model 1878 Colt Hammer shotgun. 32" chain Damascus pattern 10 gauge barrels. Deluxe grade wood with Prince of Wales style pistol grip. Hard rubber "Rampant Colt" buttplate. Highly figured walnut stock and forearm with standard style checkering. CONDITION: Excellent plus with 97% Damascus pattern on barrels. 80-85% case color on frame. Original high polish blue on lower tang, trigger guard, and locking lever. Bores are excellent, bright and clean. Action is tight and crisp. Wood is excellent showing light wear. -MKS-
CORRECTION: There is a hairline stress fracture beginning at the top tang screw, running both directions into the wrist. There are a couple modest areas of abrasion located midway on the barrels.
