Shipped in 1966, this fine 28" Diana Grade gun with Mod/Full choke markings is a rare and desirable configuration. The gun made with low profile matted ventilated top rib with steel front bead. Round nosed forend is checkered in point pattern with coin finished and engraved release. Barrels with usual makers marks and choke markings of Mod/Full as noted above. Action is beautifully engraved in Diana pattern, signed by R. Risack on both sides with pheasants on left, quail on bottom, ducks on right, all surrounded by well executed floral scroll pattern. Trigger guard with long tang is engraved with rabbits on bow and floral pattern. Gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. European Walnut buttstock is in round knob/long tang configuration with point pattern checkering and has beautiful figure with light fiddleback and terminates with a Browning composition buttplate. Housed in a Browning Airways case. CONDITION: Extremely fine as partially restored. Barrels retain nearly all of a factory quality restored blued finish. The action retains nearly all of its coin finish. Buttstock is a factory quality replacement. Forend is excellent as factory quality restored with only the most minute of handling marks. Case is excellent with minor rubs. A very beautiful Superposed. JSL
