Made in 1959, this rare gun has two sets of barrels, both marked for 2 - 3/4" and 3" chambers and have low profile matted ventilated top ribs with single steel front beads. Both barrel sets with round nose forends checkered in point pattern and coin finished forearm irons are engraved in oak leaf pattern. The coin finished action, signed by Funken on both sides, is engraved with mother fox bringing a pheasant to her den and two cubs on left side, two quail on bottom, and pointer and setter on right side with pheasants all surrounded by well executed oak leaf pattern. Gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. Trigger guard with deep relief pheasants (?) and oak leaf pattern is on long tang. The buttstock is a beautiful piece of straight grained American Walnut with round knob grip and terminates with a Browning composition buttplate. Housed in a beautiful Tolex two barrel set case. CONDITION: Excellent as partially restored. Barrel set #1 retains more than 95% original blue with some minor areas of touch up. Barrel set #2 retains nearly all of a professionally restored finish. Stocks retain nearly all of a professionally restored finish. Action retains nearly all of its coin finish. There are two minor losses on the buttplate noted. Bores are bright and shiny, mechanics are crisp. Case is excellent. This is an extremely rare Funken engraved small bore superposed worthy of any fine sporting shotgun collection. JSL
