Made in 1960 this Grade 1 Lightning features 26 - 1/2" barrels with low profile matted ventilated top rib that has steel mid and front beads. Round nosed forend is checkered in point pattern with blued iron that has light border pattern. Blued action is engraved in standard Grade 1 pattern and marked "Lightning / Browning" on bottom. Gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. Buttstock is in round knob/long tang configuration with honey and marble cake color and terminates with a Browning brand composition buttplate. Housed in a modern brown leatherette Browning case with faux fur interior. CONDITION: Excellent as partially restored. Barrels retain about all of a restored blue with an area of minor touch up near the second post. Action retains about all of what appears to be its original blued finish. Custom buttstock and forearm retain nearly all of their custom finish. Trigger guard and top lever retains about all of its restored blued finish. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
