Lot consists of (A) U.S. Remington 03-A3. Barrel is Remington and is dated 2-43. All major parts appear to be Remington including the bolt. Sight protector is also marked Remington. Correct stamped trigger guard and stock parts. Stock is F.J.A. marked, in addition to having a U.S. acceptance stamp. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal is excellent, retaining 95% of its original finish. Stock is very good overall, but the top hand-guard has a crack in it. Bore has crisp rifling. (B) August of 1943 Springfield M1 Garand with period correct sling and buttstock cleaning kit. Barrel is also dated 8-43, meaning this rifle was most likely never rebuilt. All parts appear to be of Springfield production. World War II correct rear sight and trigger guard. Stock is Springfield marked and retains its U.S. acceptance stamp. Sling is unmarked. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal is very good, retaining 90% of its original wear. Gas tube shows more signs of external wear. Stock is very good with usual handling marks. Bore retains very good rifling. Muzzle measures 3, throat measures 2. Sling is excellent. A great pair of U.S. World War II rifles for your collection. JA
