Lot consists of: (A) Manufactured 1925. This is a very early model, manufactured in the first year of production. Features full round barrel, insert blade, front sight, two leaf folding rear sight, factory tapped for scope, and blued finish. Stock and forearm are checkered with straight comb, Schnabel forend tip, and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel and frame are a pleasing mix of blue and patina. The trigger guard and floor plate are bright refinished blue. Stock is very good with usual dings and checkering shows wear over a early refinish. Bolt has been refinished and blued. Fine action. Bore exhibits strong rifling. (B) Features high polish royal blue frame and barrel, Leupold one piece base and Vari X II 3-9x40mm scxope, oil grooved bolt, blued trigger guard and floorplate, Weatherby Monte Carlo stock with checkering, rosewood forend tip and grip cap with white diamond, red waffle buttpad and sling eyes. Manufactured with no provision for sights. This is an Vanguard rifle made in Japan, that has the South Gate, California address. CONDITION: There is evidence of light field use. Floor Plate and trigger guard have a couple of marks. Stock has a few scattered areas of bumps, bruises, and crackling to finish. Bore shows fouling. Optic is clear. JTH
