FEATURES INCLUDE; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight and V notch rear sight on rear link. Thumb safety marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position, extractor marked "GELADEN", and center toggle link marked "ERFURT". This is an all matching numbers gun including one of the magazines. Like most Erfurt Lugers every part is proofed including the grip screws. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 90% of the original factory applied rust blue finish with some slight high edge wear and holster wear. Factory straw small parts retain 80%. Wood checkered grips with a small chip under the thumb safety lever. The checkering shows minimal wear from handling and use. Fair bore with good lands and grooves; some frosting to the bore. Wood bottom magazine has had a crack repaired. Comes in a World War I leather hard-shell holster. Maker mark is present but unreadable. Nice holster with tight and serviceable stitching. Some slight crazing. Also comes with an extra nickel magazine numbered 2525f and an original proofed loading tool. Take down lever has had a field repair done to it. On page 61 of Jan Stills book "IMPERIAL LUGERS" it states that approximately 7,000 1914 Erfurt's were produced. Making it the rarest of all the military Erfurt's. A very hard gun to find in this condition. It would be a great addition to any luger collection.
