Manufactured 1942. Half moon front sight, U notch rear sight. Correctly matches frame number under firing pin retaining plate. "P" proof on top of slide. Inside of slide marked "G" "8" "U/N". Two line two block address and patent block with intercepting pony. Barrel has been cleaned and only remaining marks are a "2" in front of the lug and a barely visible "745(?)" on lower right side of breech. Oversized barrel link. Top of frame with "G" and Flaming Bomb. Coltwood grips with reinforcing screws and scoop lightening interior. Short checkered trigger, checkered slide release, left side only safety, spurred trigger, and arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Unmarked parkerized magazine. "W.B." in rectangle for Waldemar Broberg, "P" stamps on frame, trigger guard with "VP" "T" and "71". CONDITION: Very good as reparkerized, retaining the vast majority of that refinish with some silvering to high edges and reciprocating areas. Action works appropriately, bore is very good with sharp visible rifling and some roughness. EW
