Manufactured 1943. Square notch rear sight, serrated slope front. Spurred checkered hammer. Checkered left side only safety, short trigger, magazine release, slide release, and arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Coltwood grips. Slide correctly numbered to frame underneath firing pin retaining plate. Barrel with "COLT 45 AUTO" on left side of chamber, "P" proof on left side of lug, "G" inspector mark in front of lug. Frame with P proof, and Ordnance Department stamp. Trigger guard with "41" "P" and "VP" proofs. Risdon magazine. CONDITION: Very good, still retaining the majority of its original parkerized finish. Vivid temper lines on the slide. Some silvering on reciprocating parts and at high edges from handling and operation. EW
