1855 vintage Colt Model 1849 with British proof marks. 4" barrel marked in two lines "-ADDRESS. COL. COLT / LONDON-". Serial number 6509 observed on loading lever, barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. Barrel wedge marked "292". Blue with case hardened frame, loading lever, and hammer. Silver plated trigger guard and backstrap. One piece varnished walnut grips. Roll die stagecoach hold-up scene on five shot cylinder. British proof marks on barrel and cylinder. London style partition fitted oak case with green baize interior. Includes a "James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield" marked powder flask. Colts Patent two cavity bullet mold. "L" shaped combination screwdriver/nipple wrench. UMC cap tin. CONDITION: Revolver is near fine with 50-60% original blue mixed with brown patina. 60-70% original case color on frame. Hammer and loading lever are mostly a dove grey patina with traces of case color. 85-90% silver plating on trigger guard and backstrap. Cylinder is a gun metal grey patina showing a strong roll die scene. Bore is good with moderate abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Finish has been added to the grips, with moderate to heavy wear. Case and accessories are very good. Interior is soiled and bullet mold shows scattered dings and dents. Powder flask is fine showing 90% original finish. -MKS-
