Manufactured in 1956. Among the most desirable of any .22 bolt action sporting rifle ever made. These fine rifles featured details and workmanship never before awarded to the lowly .22 LR rifle. They include a fine hand checkered walnut stock with pistol grip, rollover cheek piece, black forend tip, metal pistol grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate. The barrel was not cut for a rear sight, instead features a Lyman receiver sight with a hooded ramp front sight. Rifle is magazine fed and includes one original Winchester stamped magazine. Stock has the Super Grade cut for sling swivels. CONDITION: Bore is sharp with well defined rifling. The action is smooth as silk. The wood has been refinished and oiled. Excellent with sharp checkering. Metal retains 98% plus refinished blue finish. With just a few minor handling marks, this rifle shows both condition and quality. JTH
