Very rare gun made with 30" Damascus barrels that have matted top rib with small mid and large white front beads. Second set of barrels has been added to this gun and has a Remington Date code of "DD3" on them indicating they were added September 1935. Made with near fully checkered splinter forend which has engraved iron and push button release. Breech end of forend with ribbon and fleur-de-lis pattern. Action is near full coverage engraved, likely by Joseph Loy, with well executed scroll and game scenes which include two quail and setter on left, two large turkeys in trees on bottom, two woodcock with pointer on right. Top of frame and top lever are near full coverage scroll engraved. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Round knob pistol grip buttstock is fancifully checkered with wave border pattern side panels that have carved arrow behind action, and wave pattern behind grip in fine panel. There is a gold oval near the toe which is unengraved and the stock terminates with scroll engraved heel and toe plates with checkered wood center. CONDITION: Fair to poor. Barrels retain about 10% original finish with some exterior roughness. Action shows flashes of cyanide case color. Trigger plate has been cold blued. Stocks with faint checkering but mostly still visible, and are slightly undersized. Bores with frosting and a few light pings. Mechanics are functional. A worthy restoration candidate. JSL
