Manufactured 1942. U notch rear with half moon front sight. Slide with frame matching serial number under firing pin retaining plate. Lovely temper line visible just behind stirrup cut. Two line two block address and patent dates with intercepting pony. "P" stamp on top of slide. Interior of slide with "G" "5" and "UN". Barrel with "COLT 45 AUTO" on lower left side of breech, "G" in front of lug, partially visible "P" on left side of lug. Top of frame with "G" and Flaming bomb near disconnector hole. Frame with "W.B" in lozenge, for Broberg, "O" proof, trigger guard with "VP", "88", upside down "W" proof. Checkered Coltrock grips. Short checkered trigger, checkered slide release, left side only safety, spur hammer, arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Magazine from Risdon contract. Also accompanied by a later assembled rig with Boyt 42 holster, magazine pouch with two full blue magazines, and a first aid kit in pouch. CONDITION: Fine as reparkerized, retaining the vast majority of the refinish with some silvering to high edges towards front. Action works correctly, bore is very good, shiny, with plenty of sharp rifling. Rig is very good showing some evidence of use. EW
