Manufactured 1962, four screw "K" frame six shot. Second year of manufacture Smith & Wesson model 53 chambered for the .22 Jet cartridge. 6" barrel with target trigger, proprietary convertible hammer (centerfire/rimfire), and diamond pattern target grips. Fitted with a Bushnell Phantom using a no-drill & tap Bushnell mount. Included with revolver is the original adjustable sight, six chamber inserts to allow you to shoot .22 Magnum and a set of RCBS reloading dies (1974 manufacture). Smith & Wesson numbers matching outer box is included as well. CONDITION: Very fine with over 98% factory blue finish remaining with a touch of finish loss at muzzle and ejector rod from use and a light cylinder line. Bore is excellent. Lockup and timing is good. Grips are very fine with a little distress at bottom from resting when being fired. Box is edge worn and missing interior insert. Label is strong and legible. Comes with 86 rounds of ammunition. TDW
