Percussion fullstock Kentucky rifle signed "C. Fordney" for Caspar Fordney who worked from 1828 to circa 1850 in Pennsylvania and later Ohio. Gun has full octagon smoothbore barrel with rifle sights. Percussion commercial unmarked lock with double set trigger control. Curly maple fullstock with brass hardware including engraved four piece patchbox. Coin silver cheekpiece inlay and thumbpiece. Original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall aged patina with some usage marks and dings. Lock is a replacement. Stock has crack at wrist with no other visible restoration or repairs. Lock functions and gun has a shootable bore. DLM
