Serial number 29035 on butt as well as internal of right grip. Standard S&W single line address ending with "69" patent date. Cylinder is 1.42 inches in length. These commercial Russian revolvers had a rough and ready history of being used by lawmen and the lawless alike, J. Wesley Hardin carried serial number 25274. CONDITION: Fair, gun is a deep chocolate patina with a dark bore. Cylinder does not rotate properly and hammer does not hold in any position. Locking latch spring on top is broken. However this is a wonderful example of a true western era large frame Smith that is very aesthetically appealing and presents itself well. TDW
