Lot consists of: (A) Smith and Wesson Model 10 with original box. Factory blued finish with the original wood grips. Box is serial numbered to the gun.
CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal retains 85% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips are very good with minor chips and gouges. Bore retains good rifling. Hammer and cylinder show a slight amount of wobble. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with light wear. (B) Smith and Wesson Model 10 with original box. Factory blued finish. Grips look to be replacements. Rack number reading "No. 201" on the rear backstrap. Box is not serial numbered to the gun, but looks to be original. Accompanied by a lettter indicating that the revolver was shipped September 21st, 1926, to J.M. Warren Co., Troy, NY. The invoice at the time listed swivels and wrist straps, and "Conservation Commission" engraving on butt. Later applied checkering on backstrap has destroyed this engraving. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips are very good. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Cylinder shows signs of timing issues. Box is good with light wear on the edges. JA
