Made in 1887 by Winchester Repeating Arms, New Haven, Connecticut. This Model 1873 is in the rare .22 short caliber. Blued full octagon barrel with front blade sight and rear Buckhorn style adjustable sight. Blued receiver with serrated dust cover. Walnut plain stocks with steel crescent buttplate. Brass elevator marked " 22 short". CONDITION: Barrel retains 50% original finish with most turning a plum color. Bore is poor. Action has some small dings with finish turning a plum color. Elevator has some dings blurring the caliber marking. Wood has some original finish with light handling marks and dings. Good mechanics. DLM
