Model 1861 smoothbore musket manufactured by Colt in Hartford, Connecticut. Percussion lock dated 1862 and marked with Colt's Patent and address. Smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and three leaf rear sight with "1861" and "vp" over "eagle" proofs. Comes with unmarked socket style triangular bayonet. CONDITION: Fine aged silvery patina on metal parts with wood showing evidence of being cleaned long ago. Good mechanics and a solid gun. DLM
