Manufactured 1943. Half moon front sight, u notch rear with rounded edges. Slide with two block two line address with Rampant Colt sans circle at rear. "Model of 1911. U.S. ARMY" on right side. Slide markings with serif font. Barrel marked on top on breech "PH" perpendicular to bore, "7" on left side of lug, "5" on front of lug. Checkered slide release. Frame marked "7" in the recoil spring channel, "H" in front of disconnector hole, "V" to the 1 o'clock of the disconnector hole. Checkered spurred hammer, long smooth trigger, flat smooth mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered magazine release, checkered left side only safety. Inspector marked for Walter Penfield on left side, marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on left side of dust cover in serif font. Springfield second variation magazine sans lanyard loop. CONDITION: Very good as refinished, with very fine pitting visible under the bluing sporadically throughout the gun and particularly under the grips. Action works properly, bore has light even oxidation with well defined visible rifling. EW CORRECTION: This 1911 was shipped on June 25th, 1913. In the description, 1943 is a typo.
