Lot consist of: (A) Early 1903 Springfield bolt action rifle. Serial number dates this gun to 1906. Barrel is Springfield production and is dated 1905. Hatcher hole present. Stock is Springfield marked, and has been refinished at some point, and the stock cartouches are not visible. Smooth buttplate. CONDITION: Overall good. Metal retains most of its original finish with a fair amount of surface rust on the receiver and barrel. Stock is very good with light handling marks. Bore is clean with fair rifling. Mechanically excellent. (B) Smith Corona 1903-A3 Springfield bolt action rifle. Smith Corona barrel dated "8-43". Bolt appears to be Smith Corona. Stock is Smith Corona as well. CONDITION: Overall very good. Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Stock is very good with minor dings, scratches, and gouges. Bore is clean with good rifling. Mechanically excellent. JA
