Lot consists of (A) Colt First Model Derringer serial number 4691 cal, .41 RF. All steel construction with light factory scroll engraving, Spur trigger with Colt Hartford address on barrel rib. Nickel front blade sight. Actual production dates are a mystery with speculation of 1870 through as late as 1890. CONDITION: Good with overall finish being an even dove grey. Action operates properly, legends are crisp and barrel and frame numbers matching. (B) Colt Third Model Derringer with nickel finish, varnished walnut grips, and short arched hammer. Serial number 39853 found under grips. -COLT- marking on top of barrel. CONDITION: Very good with nickel loss on frame beneath barrel. Bore is exceptionally sharp and bright and action operates properly. Grips are very fine with no material loss. TDW
