This is an original wooden shipping crate with no lid. The sides are stenciled in red with Winchester Trade Mark Made in USA. The 6 - 1/2 x 9 - 1/2" paper shipping label is printed in red and black. Case held 10 Model 94 Sporting Carbines in .32 Winchester Special. Round barrel, solid frame, and full magazine. Address label is pre-zip code. There is some light staining and some minor edge chipping but is 95% complete and given the fragile nature of the paper, it would be hard to find a nicer example. You could block out the bottom and fill top layer of five and cover with glass for a great conversation piece in your gun room.
