March 10 & 11, 2020 Toy, Doll & Figural Cast Iron
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/10/2020
Box is marked "King Features Syndicate" on front and "No. 603 Squeaky Ignatz Cycle Rider J. Chein & Company, New York" and has nice rendition of Ignatz riding three-wheel cycle. Toy itself has original tail and ears and strong decals, marked "1932 King Features Syndicate". Lollipop-type hands and articulated front legs. When pulled by original ball and string, his legs move up and down. Bell has mechanism underneath rear of seat that should squeak when in motion, squeaker not working. Very beautiful toy. CONDITION: Box is complete but does have some repair, but displays well. Cycle itself has very little to no wear, except for maybe on edges of wheels. Has to be one of the only boxed examples known. Box is very good to excellent condition, Toy itself is near mint condition. From the Jeff Landes Collection.
Condition: (Very Good - Near Mint).
Item Dimensions: Box: 8 - 1/2" x 7 - 1/4" x 5".
