Looks to be unsold old store stock, circa 1950's. Box is marked "Marx Mechanical Train Set" on front. Box comes with one cardboard insert and two cardboard sleeves to protect engine and gondola. Comes with original instruction sheet and scarce, odd-looking original key which is still in the original envelope, marked "No.500 Mechanical Locomotive Key". Set includes engine and tender, gondola, caboose and sections of curved and straight track. Many Disney characters depicted on set, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Jiminy Cricket, Pluto, Thumper and some of Snow White's Dwarfs, plus others. CONDITION: Box is complete but has one split on one corner and some minor creasing. One or two small age nicks, but overall near mint to mint condition. Hard to imagine you could find a better set.
