Pre-war, circa 1930's. Distributed by George Borgfeldt under their Nifty brand. Box marked "Copyright by Walt E. Disney". Shows nice depictions of Mickey and Minnie on two sides of box. Toy itself is complete with hard to find original tail, marked "Nifty Jazz Drummer" on drum head. White drum head version with nice white face. Shows Mickey in position to strike drum, both hands holding drumsticks. When plunged in the back mechanism, Mickey's hands are forced up and down to strike drum head. CONDITION: Box is missing top flap and two inner flaps are detached, but present. Toy has some minor nicks and wear but overall box is very good and toy is excellent to near mint condition.
