Raging from 1930's to 1970's. Three have original boxes. The earliest one is pre-war and comes in a Walt Disney Enterprises box marked "George Borgfeldt Corporation" and "Made in USA, Lackawanna Mfg. Co.". Shows nice graphics of top on the box. Top has Tin-litho characters of Pluto, Mickey Mouse, Baby Mickey, Minnie Mouse and Baby Minnie. Second is also an early pre-war top, marked "Fritz Bueschel", also "Walt Disney Enterprises". Unmarked, but probably Ohio Art. Great graphics showing Donald Duck playing drums, Baby Minnie playing tambourine, Minnie Mouse playing the harp, Horace Horsecollar playing the flute and Mickey Mouse playing the trombone. Third is a 1950's Chein Shieldmark with original box marked "No. 14 Musical Top J. Chein & Company", which has graphics of kids playing with the top on all sides. Top itself shows Donald playing the drums, Mickey playing the trumpet and Pluto playing the horns. Fourth is also in the original box and made by Chein, marked "No. 335 Mickey Mouse Musical Top", dated 1973 Walt Disney Productions. Box is very colorful, showing Mickey, Goofy and Pluto and two kids on end flaps playing with top. Top itself has a plastic plunger marked "Chein Playthings, Burlington, New Jersey" and has character portraits of Goofy, Mickey, Donald and Pluto. CONDITION: First and earliest has some oxidation to bare metal piece between top and push rod, otherwise little or no wear. Second has some scratching and edge wear, minor play nicks and play wear and has no box. Third top appears near mint and unused, but does have some nicks and play wear underneath and one small scratch near Chein mark. Fourth top looks virtually unused.
