Manufactured 1864 and 1865, this pair of Colt Model 1851 Navy revolvers with 7 - 1/2" octagon blued barrels, varnished walnut grips, case colored frames, and blued cylinders are extremely fine original condition and are cased in the proper English Oak dual case with bag type flask and oiler, maintenance tool, and cleaning rod. Silver washed backstrap and trigger guards and Ormsby Naval cylinder scene. Single line New York address on barrels and matching numbers throughout including wedges. Small London proofs found on cylinder and barrels. CONDITION: Extremely fine with most all vivid case colors remaining on frames. Backstraps and trigger guards retain generous amount of original silver plating. Barrels retain most blue finish with some portions of loss from age and flaking. Levers and hammers both retain most all vivid case colors and grips are exceptional with most all varnish. Case is exceptionally fine with presentation plate on exterior of lid marked "EL TEB FEBRUARY 29th 1884". Interior blue lining is equally fine and all partitions are rigid and good. An outstanding cased pair of Colt Navy Revolvers. TDW
