Serial number 196221 manufactured in 1866, matching numbers on all major components including wedge; loading lever is not numbered. Blue with casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. Iron trigger guard and backstrap with blue finish. 7 - 1/2" barrel marked "ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON". Frame and cylinder marked "COLTS PATENT". Trigger guard marked .36 CAL. No visible British proof marks. One piece varnished walnut grips. London walnut case fitted in the partition style with blue baize interior. Includes brass bullet mold. Powder flask, percussion cap tin, packet of six cartridges, oiler, and correct case key. CONDITION: Fine overall with approximately 90% bright original blue on barrel, numerous dings around wedge on right side of barrel. No original finish on cylinder, appears to have been over cleaned with scattered light pitting, strong roll die scene. Frame, hammer, and loading lever show signs of case color with a light grey color overall. 10-15% original blue on trigger guard and back strap. Grips are fine with a gouge on left side near frame, most original varnish remaining. Case excellent overall showing moderate wear. Interior is fine with moderate wear. Nice "DIRECTIONS FOR LOADING COLT'S PISTOLS" label on inside lid. Powder flask and bullet mold are fair condition. Overall a nice cased set. -MKS-
