Elegantly cased Navy Colt revolver assembled at Pall Mall in 1852. Blue and case color finished with varnished one piece walnut stocks. Barrel marked "ADDRESS. COL. COLT.LONDON." The accompanying mahogany Colt pattern casing is fitted with two cavity "Colt's Patent" bullet mold, a Barlow bag flask (missing spring) and an original British tin cap container with lacquered finish marked "ELEY BRO, LONDON". CONDITION: Gun is very fine overall. Matching serial number 6278 is found on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder as well as lever and wedge. Address and serial numbers are crisp. Cylinder has all six safety pins and about 95% of the rolled naval battle scene visible. Stocks are well fit with about 70% of their varnished finish intact. Gun functions properly with a clean crisp bore. Accompanying casing has empty oval brass plate applied in lid which has evidence of earlier refinish. Lining and interior of case are are very fine though slightly faded. A fine example of the London Colt Navy. TDW
