Made in 1949, this rare little gun was made with original 26" barrels that have proper high raised rib. Barrel flats with grade marking, serial number, and 2 - 3/4" chamber marking. Beavertail forend is checkered in point pattern with roll type release. Case hardened action is lightly floral engraved with pigeon on left, clay target on right. Beautiful flame grained American walnut stock is straight grip with checkered butt and checkered in two point pattern through the wrist. Made with single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain about 90% original blued finish with a few light marks. Action retains about 1/4 of its light original case color. Stocks are excellent with minor handling marks and hunting bumps, there is a small repaired chip behind the right lock, otherwise stocks are sound and original. Bores are brilliant and shiny, mechanics are crisp. These are scarce guns and highly desirable for their fine shooting qualities. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. JSL
