Made in 1926 on a "0" Frame with 28" Trojan Steel barrels which have usual rib legend and barrel flats with Parker Proof marks and unstruck barrel weight of 3 lbs 4 oz. Splinter forend is checkered in diamond pattern. Unengraved Trojan receiver is engraved "Parker Bros." on sides. Blued trigger guard. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. The flat knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with its original lined composition buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine and collector quality. This is easily the finest Trojan 20 gauge Parker we have offered in nearly 20 years. The barrels retain 98%+ original blue with only a couple of very light handling marks on the left tube and some minor silvering at muzzle. The action retains nearly all of its bold original case color with only minor speckling. Trigger guard retains about 80% of its original blue, which has flaked, not worn, mostly on bow, more vivid at tang. Stocks are sound and retain nearly all of their original finish. There is a small impression at the breech end of the forend and another small impression on the left side of the butt, but other than that the stocks are superb with only minor handling marks. Buttplate is crisp. This is absolutely a benchmark 20 gauge Trojan Parker which is nearly impossible to improve on. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection, acquired from Charlie Barnes in 2000 and accompanied by PGCA letter. JSL
