Made in 1924 on a "0" Frame with 28" Parker Special steel barrels which have matted rib and usual rib legend, twin white beads. Unstruck barrel weight of 2-13. Splinter forend checkered in diamond pattern with engraved Deeley release and engraved steel tip. Case hardened action is engraved in typical P Grade pattern with light scroll and wave border patterns. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Straight grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist, long trigger guard tang, and terminates with a miniature Parker Brothers dogs head buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent and original. Barrels retain more than 97% original blued finish with some remnants of original strike marks at breech end and fine original nitre blue at ejector stop. Action retains more than 90% bright original case color, with beginning toning on bottom of action in front of the trigger plate, which is bold and vivid. Trigger guard retains more than 80% original blue with beginning toning at grip and flaking on bow. All screw slots are crisp. Stocks with 97% original finish with minor handling marks and a small area of darkened finish on right side near trigger guard tang end. Buttplate is excellent and original. Brilliant shiny bores, mechanics are crisp. This gun was obviously made for a child and once they outgrew the gun, was put away, and well cared for. This is the shortest factory original length of pull known to collectors. An advanced Parker Collector will look long and hard to find a more interesting special order PHE Grade 20 Bore than this one! PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. JSL
