Made in 1936, this rare 16 bore gun with 26" Winchester Proof Steel barrels has matted concave rib with steel mid and red front bead. Tops of barrels with standard early barrel legends and barrel flats with choke markings and Winchester proof marks. Beavertail forend checkered in flowing pattern on sides and elongated diamond at center with blued roll type release. Unengraved blue action marked "TOURNAMENT SKEET" on bottom. Made with single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. The full knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with its original checkered butt. CONDITION: Very fine as partially restored. Barrels retain about 95% of what appears to be their original blue. The action retains more than 95% of what appears to be its original blue. Trigger guard retains nearly all of a restored blue finish as does the forend iron. Stocks are excellent, sound, and retain more than 90% of their original finish with minor handling marks and rubs. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. A rare and collector quality Model 21. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. JSL
