This gorgeous flat side custom engraved model 21 made with 28" barrels with low profile ventilated matted rib. Top of rib marked "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER". Sides of barrels with 3 - 7/8" wedge of scroll and barrel flats with jeweling, serial number, and Winchester proof marks. Chokes marked "WS-1" and "WS-2". Made with gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Beavertail forend is near fully checkered in point pattern with engraved roll type release and triangular tip. The flatside frame is beautifully engraved in about 80% coverage with scroll and gold inlaid setter on left, pointer on right in game scene, gold pheasants on bottom, and highly detailed gold inlaid dog's bust on trigger guard. The flame grained American walnut with engraved and gold inlaid capped pistol grip buttstock with checkered side panels is checkered with ribband pattern through the wrist and panel behind grip with gold oval near toe and terminates with a checkered butt. The pistol grip cap is scroll engraved and gold inlaid "GRAND AMERICAN" with gold washer. CONDITION: Extremely fine and near mint. Appears to be test fired only since finished. Only the most minute of handling marks are visible. This is an exceptionally high quality Model 21. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. JSL
