Made in 1929 on a No. 1 Frame with 28" Titanic barrels that have matted rib and usual rib legend with twin ivory beads. Barrel flats with unstruck barrel weight of 3 lbs 4 oz and usual proof marks. Made with double triggers, ejectors, and auto safety. Splinter forend with engraved Deeley release is checkered in standard DHE pattern with engraved steel tip. The case hardened action is engraved in standard later DHE pattern with setter on right, pointer on left, surrounded by well executed scroll. Bottom of action is engraved with four pheasants and scroll. The straight grip buttstock with thick comb is checkered in point pattern with tear drop behind action and terminates with the original blued skeleton buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 97% original blue with light marks. The blue has been removed from the barrel flats for some unknown reason. Action retains about 60%+ original case color. Trigger guard tang retains about 80% of what appears to be its original blue. Stocks are sound, excellent and retain most of their original finish. Skeleton buttplate is very good with a flash or two of original blue. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. With the thick stock comb, this was a special order gun. PROVENANCE: From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. JSL
