1866 vintage Model 1860 Army revolver, serial number 157957. Rebated cylinder. One line barrel address marked "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-". Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and barrel wedge. One piece ivory grips. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. Comes with a period russet leather holster with flap and suede lined interior. CONDITION: Excellent with approximately 85% original bright blue on barrel. Strong naval battle scene on cylinder retaining approximately 75% original blue. Traces of case color on frame. Hammer mostly grey patina. One piece ivories fit well, showing some shrinkage at forestrap and backstrap. Bore is fine, showing light abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Holster leather is soft and pliable. Overall a most attractive rig. -MKS-
