Manufactured 1881. Colt Single Action Army revolver. Caliber .45 Colt with nickel finish and one piece ivory grips. Produced with a black powder frame without traverse cylinder pin release. Matching numbers found on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Barrel has been non-factory shortened to 5" and sight set back. Housed in a double loop drop holster without makers markings. CONDITION: Good as custom shortened. Barrel retains 30% nickel finish with balance cleaned. Frame retains 30% nickel finish with balance cleaned. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 50% nickel finish. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Hammer has no safety notch. Ivory grips have a repair at the front left toe but fit very well. Holster is a contemporary holster that is aged to present itself as old. Machine cut edges and modern cotton stitching are all good and leather is supple. TDW
